“Jack Byron is a singer-songwriter from Chicago, IL. A self taught musician, Byron’s musical heroes range from The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams, Van Morrison, Tom Petty, Jason Isbell, and John Mayer. He picked up the guitar and piano in high school, wrote his first song at 17, and has been honing his craft ever since. With an affinity for writing about the simple joys and struggles of your everyday man and woman, Byron found himself drawn towards the Folk/Americana genre, with its rich musical heritage and storytelling tendencies.” – Jackbyronmusic.com
Paul draws a lot of influence from American roots music. He has a background firmly planted in blues and found the folky country songwriting style of writers like Gram Parsons, Jason Isbell, and Jackson Browne really lit a fire inside him for telling stories through song. Paul is a seasoned guitar player with his roots in the farmlands of southern Indiana. The country sounds of Indiana blend well with his early blues influences.

Shelf Ice Brewfest is an extreme winter beer festival in northwest Indiana held in the heart of the Uptown Arts District in Michigan City, Indiana. GBCo. will join over 40 breweries at this fundraiser for the Michigan City Mainstreet Association, a non-profit organization focused on rejuvenating downtown Michigan City.
From his bio:
“Themes of hope, sadness, and striving fill Andrew Pauls’ original songs. Rooted in traditional American folk music. Andrew’s lyrics dance with soulful banjo and guitar playing to create thought-provoking songs. In Andrew’s music, listeners will hear influences from songwriting veterans John Prine and Bob Dylan with hints of contemporary artists like Mandolin Orange and Tallest Man on Earth.
Andrew performs often in the Lancaster, PA area and he lives there with his spouse Laura and all of their instruments. He is interested in the way music can hold together a world that can feel as if it is falling apart.”
Caleb Ryan Martin is an acoustic bluegrass, folk and roots musician hailing from the hills of Tennessee. He has traveled and played music all across the United States, singing with expressive vocals, playing guitar, and frailing the banjo, providing people with melodic medicine.

Come find us at the 12th annual Glass City Beer Festival, featuring over 40 craft breweries showcasing more than 230 beers. Great beer, new food vendors, and live music combine to make this a memorable event! This popular event is the original and biggest Beer Festival in northwest Ohio. This year, proceeds go to Courageous Community Services and The NWO Hemophilia Foundation.
It’s First Friday in downtown Goshen and the theme is Live and Local. Stop by the Beer Hall to enjoy the musical stylings of Paul Decker!

Let’s curse winter by celebrating summer vibes! Get out your Hawaiian shirts, shorts, sunglasses, and your beach bod. Meet up at the Elephant Bar for an ice cold beer and the kickoff off the Goshen Beer Ice Run .5k.
Finish the beer and carefully head out on our course finishing at Goshen Brewing Company. Have another beer by the fire and dance to some island jams. Costume contest and awards will be handed out at the GBCo finish line.
Registration will include 2 beers, t shirt, mid-run “fuel”, and a finishers lei.
All proceeds go to support the efforts of Goshen Art House. They are upgrading their kegerator and can’t wait to serve the best local draft/craft beer at the best local independent film house.

Instead, these are songs of the people, stories of Vos’ own efforts to come to terms with her turbulent upbringing as well as stories of the men and women she grew up with in a rural America.”

“Robert Rolfe Feddersen is a singer/songwriter from Chicago who currently resides in Crown Point, Indiana. Robert’s songwriting style is very open, honest, reflective, humorous and topical. He has a well-crafted eight album catalog of songs, the last two of which were recorded in Chicago by Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Cheap Trick). RRF was also named “Best of 2016” on Chicago’s 93XRT’s Local Anesthetic.
Formerly the frontman of well-known mid-90’s Chicago band LOUDMOUTH, Robert earned a gold album from the soundtrack for the film Varsity Blues, penning the hit song “Fly.” His songs have also appeared in numerous movies, movie trailers and TV shows. As a working and touring singer/songwriter, Robert performs in excess of 150 shows per year and his songwriting has been compared to early Springsteen/Steve Earle/Woody Guthrie. Robert’s live shows are entertaining, engaging and audience-inclusive and he has a unique style to his guitar playing — taking a properly strung right-handed guitar and flipping it left handed so the strings are in reversed order. “I break a lot of high E strings playing this way, but it’s the only way I understand and play the guitar.””- RRF bio

Hoosier guitarist/vocalist Brian Keith Wallen won 2nd place in the 2015 International Blues Challenge and was also named “Artist of the Year” by the Starr-Gennett Foundation.
Incorporating elements of blues, bluegrass, gospel, and folk, their combined influences range from acoustic favorites like Jason Isbell and John Prine to the guitar-driven blues of John Mayer and Bonnie Raitt. We’re excited to welcome the Grammy-nominated, Austin, TX based-band Wood and Wire back to the GBCo. lawn!
From their bio: “Respect for honest labor is a central theme in Wood & Wire’s 2018 GRAMMY Nominated album for “Best Bluegrass”, North of Despair ( Blue Corn Music), with songs populated by people like songwriter Tony Kamel’s own grandfather, who built the family’s hunting lodge in Llano, Texas with his own two hands. The characters on the album live large, and aren’t afraid to share their opinions about the modern world. This kind of vivid, haunting songwriting focused on lives spent deep in the countryside is a hallmark of Texas songwriting. But it’s the melding of this hard country songwriting with high-octane bluegrass instrumentation that makes for Wood & Wire’s signature sound. From his bio: “Southside Denny is a legendary blues rocker from South Bend, Indiana. Denny has answered the call to share the stage with many legendary rockers such as John Fogerty, Edgar Winter, BTO and Styxx. A style concocted of rapid-fire yet melodic and soulful playing and lots of open tuning slide guitar, his talents of both guitarist and singer are heralded by fans and fellow players alike.” He is joined by his son and daughter to form The Snyders. Fables Bookshop, a used and new independent bookshop, is slated to open late summer 2019 in Goshen, Indiana. With your support, they can create a space where people find books and conversations that inspire.

Fables needs $90,000 to open our doors. So far they have secured $50,000 and are asking you to help them raise the remaining $40,000. These funds will go towards start-up costs including, signage, marketing (materials and online), renovations, supplies, event seed money, and most of all, inventory and merchandise. Some of the new inventory they are excited to offer includes New York Times Best Sellers, new children’s books, stationery, literary gifts and accessories, and a larger Spanish Language section for both children and adults.
Even if they don’t reach their goal, any funds raised will still go towards start-up costs. Not meeting the goal means they may not have as big of inventory as originally planned, or they may need to take on a larger debt than planned. Win or lose, they’re opening, and you can plan on enjoying Goshen’s truly independent bookshop late summer 2019! Whether you support at the $10 level or the $10,000 level, each pledge helps ensure the success of this venture.

Hailing from somewhere in the great lakes state, Michigander was born out of restless feet and the need to say something. Though live shows and recordings consist of a full band, at its core, Michigander is a solo project formed by frontman, Jason Singer.
Releasing music and touring since 2016, the band has attained recognition on a national scale while becoming a staple of the Midwest music scene, including being featured in Paste, NPR, NME, Huffpost as well as other publications. Michigander has also played festivals alongside bands such as Foster The People, Father John
Misty, alt-J, Local Natives, and Solange.
