“The Wallens have brought their close-knit harmony vocals and storytelling to Australia, Europe, and across the US at events like the Telluride Blues Fest. Originally hailing from Kentucky, Molly is a classically-trained vocalist and percussionist with experience in opera and bluegrass alike. Hoosier guitarist/vocalist Brian Keith Wallen won 2nd place in the 2015 International Blues Challenge and was also named “Artist of the Year” by the Starr-Gennett Foundation.
Incorporating elements of blues, bluegrass, gospel, and folk, their combined influences range from acoustic favorites like Jason Isbell and John Prine to the guitar-driven blues of John Mayer and Bonnie Raitt. Whether at a house concert, festival, or brewpub, their foot-stomping energy brings a fresh dimension to roots music.” -The Wallens bio

“Every dollar a beer lover spends at a craft brewery and buying their craft beer at stores and restaurants, fuels a small business and supports the economic health of its local community,” said Julia Herz, craft beer program director, Brewers Association. “Small Brewery Sunday gives us beer lovers a formal reminder that when we buy a growler, crowler, six-pack or pint, we are supporting small brewery businesses and helping them keep their doors open, lights on and fermentation tanks full.”

From his bio:
“Themes of hope, sadness, and striving fill Andrew Pauls’ original songs. Rooted in traditional American folk music. Andrew’s lyrics dance with soulful banjo and guitar playing to create thought-provoking songs. In Andrew’s music, listeners will hear influences from songwriting veterans John Prine and Bob Dylan with hints of contemporary artists like Mandolin Orange and Tallest Man on Earth.
Andrew performs often in the Lancaster, PA area and he lives there with his spouse Laura and all of their instruments. He is interested in the way music can hold together a world that can feel as if it is falling apart.”

Grab a beer and enjoy an evening of folk/rock in the Beer Hall with Indiana native singer/songwriter Craig Thurston

Seth Bernard wields an acoustic guitar, a powerful stage presence and a fiercely contagious spirit… Thought-provoking, compassionate, funny songs backed up by agile picking.”

From his bio:
“The “And I” in Johnny And I serves a dual purpose. First, and most logically, “And I” is my loop station, which allows me to record different parts of a song and combine it all together, reminiscent of a one-man band. Dig a bit deeper, and “And I” symbolizes andi, the Icelandic word for “spirit”. Aside from the scattering of recognizable songs that I play to connect with the audience, the majority of songs that I play and write have meanings that uphold my core values, true to my andi.”

GBCo. is excited to welcome local singer-songwriter Sam Brown back to the stage for our Wednesday music series! This will be Sam’s last show before his performance hiatus, so come show him some love.

From their bios:
Anna p.s.: “Indie folk musician Anna p.s. conveys a sense of weariness throughout her simple yet resonant songs, but it’s a weariness that keeps a blanket of hope tucked up under its chin, even as the rain keeps falling outside the windows. Grace always lurks around the corner on tunes that layer delicate vulnerability over the hearty stock of this songwriters’ spirit.”

Join us for an evening of Jazz in the Beer Hall. Derek Lambacher and the Gruesome Twosome will kick things off from 6:00-7:00, followed by The Dean’s List at 7:15. See you there!

Cincinnati’s Jeremy Pinnell is country music in its purest form. Pinnell’s music presents a worldview bred of a hard and honest life combing foot stomping honky-tonk rhythms with lyrics heartbreakingly true. Jeremy and his voice are always at the center, but with his band’s backing and Junior’s guitar licks on display the songs transcend to a new level only earned through hours spent on the stages of dives and honky-tonks.
Opener: Lost Cause at 6 PM

From their bio: “In 2017 Doug Earl, of Goshen, IN, stumbled upon the online recordings of a fella from South Bend, L. Amos Sanchez, who had been writing music and lyrics on couches and in dark little rooms for a quarter century. “Indiana’s Stay Outside make explosive, driving indie rock. Formed in 2016, childhood friends Aaron Becker (Guitar/Vocals) and Garrett Johnston (Guitar) forged an upbeat and hopeful indie rock sound influenced by alt-rock greats such as The Killers, Manchester Orchestra, or Kings of Leon. In 2016 Stay Outside released their debut album, Okay For Now. With the addition of Sean West (Bass) and Noah Mitchener (Drums), Stay Outside has been making waves throughout the heartland captivating audiences with compelling live performances and thoroughly honest songwriting.”
“Young Ritual is a Mid-Michigan Indie/Alternative solo project started by Dylan Grantham that writes very specific songs. A lyrical descendant of Randy Newman, Bob Dylan, Conor Oberst, believing that what makes beautiful art is leaving a part of yourself out in the open. Love, loss, and shame—those are universal experiences that we may not always want to talk about, but we can’t avoid. While we won’t avoid them, we can take ownership of those experiences and turn them into a source of power. Take your heartbreak and sprinkle some glitter on it. Within the first 3 years of existence, Young Ritual has shared stages with artists like Chris Farren, Current Joys, and Soccer Mommy, while becoming known in Mid-Michigan as one of its most exciting young songwriters and performers.”

From his bio: “Adam Lee’s life is movement. As a military kid, Adam called many different places home. His music does the same. His first solo release, ‘Sincerely, Me’ reflects all of this. Roots-rock songwriter Justin Wells sums it up: “Somebody’s gonna file this album under Americana, but that’s because Adam Lee isn’t a genre…the record nods at several American musics without knowing the meaning of derivative.””

His latest album ‘I Want to Believe’ was produced by David Beeman (notably of Pokey LaFarge’s most recent) and is an independently released country-Americana record with a tip of the hat to psychedelic, folk and rock ‘n roll. The songs vary from wistful introspect to knee-slapping social commentary while managing to keep a cohesive familiarity recognizable to fans and followers.”

From their bio: “In a contemporary independent music scene inundated with up and coming bands, it takes a unique outfit to break through that noise. A truly exceptional group must exhibit authenticity, raw talent, and electrifying chemistry. Motherfolk, a band that started in 2013, is certainly one of those most unique and dynamic acts. The outfit’s high-energy live performances have won over audiences from coast to coast, and their infectious musical persona has become one of the most exciting rising success stories in the indie scene.”
Opener: “Chris Burch is an alternative rock influenced artist who has been performing to audiences across the country. Using a guitar as the spill canvas for his sharp song-writing, raw vocal appeal, and bravely fresh sound, Chris delivers his songs with a reckless intensity that sets him apart from his contemporaries.”

GBCo. is excited to welcome this band of 3 siblings from Archbold, OH! Girl named Tom is a crowd-pleaser with originals and old favorites, and plenty of acoustic harmony.

Join us for our free Wednesday music series with Fort Frances, indie rock band from Chicago with guitars, jubilant horns, and dueling rhythm sections.

From his bio: “Southside Denny is a legendary blues rocker from South Bend, Indiana. Denny has answered the call to share the stage with many legendary rockers such as John Fogerty, Edgar Winter, BTO and Styxx. A style concocted of rapid-fire yet melodic and soulful playing and lots of open tuning slide guitar, his talents of both guitarist and singer are heralded by fans and fellow players alike.” He is joined by his son and daughter to form The Snyders.
