Originally hailing from Kentucky, Molly is a classically-trained vocalist and percussionist with experience in opera and bluegrass alike. Hoosier guitarist/vocalist Brian Keith Wallen won 2nd place in the 2015 International Blues Challenge and was also named “Artist of the Year” by the Starr-Gennett Foundation.
Incorporating elements of blues, bluegrass, gospel, and folk, their combined influences range from acoustic favorites like Jason Isbell and John Prine to the guitar-driven blues of John Mayer and Bonnie Raitt. Whether at a house concert, festival, or brewpub, their foot-stomping energy brings a fresh dimension to roots music.” -The Wallens bio

“Themes of hope, sadness, and striving fill Andrew Pauls’ original songs. Rooted in traditional American folk music. Andrew’s lyrics dance with soulful banjo and guitar playing to create thought-provoking songs. In Andrew’s music, listeners will hear influences from songwriting veterans John Prine and Bob Dylan with hints of contemporary artists like Mandolin Orange and Tallest Man on Earth.
Andrew performs often in the Lancaster, PA area and he lives there with his spouse Laura and all of their instruments. He is interested in the way music can hold together a world that can feel as if it is falling apart.”

“The “And I” in Johnny And I serves a dual purpose. First, and most logically, “And I” is my loop station, which allows me to record different parts of a song and combine it all together, reminiscent of a one-man band. Dig a bit deeper, and “And I” symbolizes andi, the Icelandic word for “spirit”. Aside from the scattering of recognizable songs that I play to connect with the audience, the majority of songs that I play and write have meanings that uphold my core values, true to my andi.”

The Lost Luggage is a jazz trio based in Goshen, featuring classic jazz vibraphone sounds reminiscent of classic artists such as Cal Tjader and Milt Jackson. Cincinnati’s Jeremy Pinnell is country music in its purest form. Pinnell’s music presents a worldview bred of a hard and honest life combing foot stomping honky-tonk rhythms with lyrics heartbreakingly true. Jeremy and his voice are always at the center, but with his band’s backing and Junior’s guitar licks on display the songs transcend to a new level only earned through hours spent on the stages of dives and honky-tonks.

“Young Ritual is a Mid-Michigan Indie/Alternative solo project started by Dylan Grantham that writes very specific songs. A lyrical descendant of Randy Newman, Bob Dylan, Conor Oberst, believing that what makes beautiful art is leaving a part of yourself out in the open. Love, loss, and shame—those are universal experiences that we may not always want to talk about, but we can’t avoid. While we won’t avoid them, we can take ownership of those experiences and turn them into a source of power. Take your heartbreak and sprinkle some glitter on it. Within the first 3 years of existence, Young Ritual has shared stages with artists like Chris Farren, Current Joys, and Soccer Mommy, while becoming known in Mid-Michigan as one of its most exciting young songwriters and performers.”
From his bio: “Adam Lee’s life is movement. As a military kid, Adam called many different places home. His music does the same. His first solo release, ‘Sincerely, Me’ reflects all of this. Roots-rock songwriter Justin Wells sums it up: “Somebody’s gonna file this album under Americana, but that’s because Adam Lee isn’t a genre…the record nods at several American musics without knowing the meaning of derivative.””

Join us for a socially-distanced concert on the parking lot at GBCo. You’ll be able to reserve spots for groups of up to 2, 4, or 6 people. Tickets go on sale Friday, 8/21 at noon on the GBCo website. Tickets are non-refundable unless we cancel the event.
Bring a mask, lawn chairs, and your own food. We will have cans of GBCo beer for sale. Please NO tents, grills, or outside alcohol. People must stay in their reserved spots during the concert and GBCo staff will deliver the beer to your group.

Bio:
Avant Garde Cellist and vocalist Jordan Hamilton merges musical styles to tell stories of the human experience through a variety of musical genres. Also a member of Last Gasp Collective and the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra, Jordan can be found performing primarily in the Midwest where he has opened for national acts such as Eric Roberson and Nappy Roots. His most recent release “My Thoughts are” is a compilation of thoughts that express themselves in Hip Hop, Folk, and soul music.

From their bio: Setiawan has won such accolades as the 2014 National Mandolin Championship, the 2017 RockyGrass Mandolin Championship and has shared the stage with the likes of Julian Lage, Darrell Scott, Bryan Sutton, Mike Marshall, Tony Trischka, Darol Anger, Casey Driessen, the Steel Wheels, Don Stiernberg, Matt Flinner, and Jacob Jolliff.
Bichan has won awards for her compositions and playing, and has traveled far and wide to perform in various line ups since a young age. She has appeared at the likes of the BBC TV’s Hogmanay Live show, Edinburgh Castle, Reading Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Lorient Interceltique Festival, Milwaukee Irish Festival and Sligo Live festival. In 2016 she released her first solo album, Out of My Own Light, to great acclaim.”
Fiddler, composer, producer and educator, Darol Anger is at home in a number of musical genres, some of which he helped to invent. Exceptional among modern fiddlers for his versatility and depth, Anger has helped drive the evolution of the contemporary string band through his involvement with numerous pathbreaking ensembles such as his Republic Of Strings, the Turtle Island String Quartet, the David Grisman Quintet, Montreux, his Duo with Mike Marshall, and others.

Join us the day after Christmas for our annual Mug Club kickoff celebration! Wear your flannel and enjoy beer releases around a cozy fire. The kitchen is rolling out a German sausage, potato, and sauerkraut stew with whole grain mustard, and the Vinyl Wagon crew will be spinning in the Beer Hall from 5-9. Tease that hair and grab your stonewashed jeans, it’s 80’s night at GBCo! The Vinyl Habits will be spinning 80s tunes this Thursday from 4-9 PM in the Beer Hall. And as icing on the cake, the Garlic Miso Ramen special is back. Totally rad, man!
